Gold & Silver Forum - Help, can't decide which to buy.

I finally decided to order a Marlin XL7, versus a Mossy 100atr & Stevens M200 (all basically same except trigger). Order because no-one within 150 miles has them in stock, out of a dozen stores I visited I found only a handfull of 30-06 and one 308 rifles any brand/action. Also, only two stores had much of any 30-06 ammo & only one had any 308. Creepy, I've never seen things like this in my life! Seems we're not the only hoarders/speculators.

So now I see that the XL7 is coming out in syn., wood and lam. stocks all about same weight. Since I have to order anyway and the reviews indicate 3/4" to 1.5" groups out of the box with syn. stocks what would you recommed I get?

BTW, I'm getting a 30-06 since that's about the only ammo left around here & I've always wanted one.
